Washington, D.C. – November 1, 2019 – Miller Hawkins, owner of Booe Realty, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., was named president-elect of the Vacation Rental Management Association (VRMA) board of directors and installed at the organization’s International Conference in October. “I am excited to serve VRMA in my new role as president-elect of the board,” said Hawkins. “The next two years will be a fantastic opportunity to bring innovative ideas to the vacation rental management industry, including ways to foster strong relations among property managers, local government, and the residents and guests of the locations we serve.”
VRMA prides itself on the positive impact that short-term vacation rentals have on the communities in which they are located. These impacts include favorable increased economic activity, and promotion of the local travel and tourism industry. “Miller will be an excellent president-elect,” said Mike Copps, VRMA’s executive director. “He has already been a leader in the board room; Miller brings an unparalleled enthusiasm and dedication to the board. His passion for the industry is evident and translates into forward-thinking ideas to better serve our members. He brings the right level of knowledge, hard work, and charisma that will serve him very well as he steps into the role of President next October.
