With a scenic course that winds through the heart of Myrtle Beach, this event promises an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike. Let's delve into the details, from the starting line on Robert Grissom Parkway to the exhilarating finish at the Pelicans Ballpark parking lot.

Starting Line:

Robert Grissom Parkway and Monticello Drive The excitement kicks off at the starting line, situated on Robert Grissom Parkway just south of the intersection with Monticello Drive. As the sun rises over Myrtle Beach, runners will gather at this point of departure, ready to conquer the challenging yet scenic course that lies ahead.

Finish Line:

Pelicans Ballpark Parking Lot The culmination of the Myrtle Beach Marathon journey awaits at the Pelicans Ballpark parking lot. Runners will cross the finish line with a sense of accomplishment, greeted by cheers from spectators, fellow participants, and the coastal breeze. The Pelicans Ballpark provides a fitting backdrop for the post-race celebrations, offering a space for runners to reflect on their achievement and revel in the shared triumph.

Race Start Times:

  1. Wheelchair & Crankchair Full and Half: 6:30 AM

  2. Marathon & Half Marathon: 6:35 AM

  3. Wheelchair & Crankchair 5k: 7:25 AM

  4. 5k: 7:30 AM

Time Limits:

As you lace up your running shoes, it's crucial to be mindful of the time limits set for each segment of the Myrtle Beach Marathon:

  • Marathon: 6:30 hours

  • Half-Marathon: 3:15 hours

These time limits are set to maintain the safety and logistics of the event, ensuring that roads, police support, and city resources can be efficiently utilized within the specified period. Participants are encouraged to maintain a 15-minute mile pace to meet these cutoff times.

After the permitted period ends, roads will reopen, and participants on the course must transition to sidewalks. Anyone on the course before or after the specified time will be considered a pedestrian and must adhere to pedestrian laws. Participants who do not meet the cutoff time will not receive an official time.
